MAIN DUTIES:

  •  To serve customers efficiently, in a positive and timely manner.
  • To ensure all areas of the business are presented to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times including, kitchen, back of house in general , tables, cutlery, crockery, cafe in general, bar area in general and customer conveniences.
  • To adhere to the Cavendish Pavilion Customer Service Standards, as set out in the training sessions, and available on the notice board.
  • To stay within your role and at your designated post during service unless absolutely necessary or otherwise directed to do so.
  • To prepare and fully stock your section before each shift to minimise stocking up during service.
  • To maintain stock levels pro-actively rather than reactively (by communication to other sections – ie. Table clearers to reduce time away from your post).
  • To clean down your section in accordance with the cleaning schedule, available on the notice board.
  • To communicate efficiently and effectively with other members of the team in order to maximise work flow and customer service.
  • You are expected to work in any part of the team as deemed necessary, however in quiet periods you will be expected to multitask within the business as needs dictate – this should not be in any way detrimental to your primary role which will be allocated each shift by your manager or supervisor.

Hot Food:

  • Menu boards and product labels are correct and checked before service.
  • To order hotplate food ahead of selling out.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and chefs to achieve efficient service and workflow.
  • To serve menu dishes to required specification as set out on the food spec sheets.
  • To initially stock up the cakes to required specification – this will be topped up by the tables and FOH section throughout service.

Drinks:

  • To Serve drinks to the required specification as set out in the Barista Manual, and in your Barista Training.
  • To Use the espresso machine effectively and efficiently in order to maximise the throughput of drinks whilst maintaining the required quality, and drinks specification.
  • To help initially stock up the cakes to required specification – this will be topped up by the tables and FOH section throughout service.

 Till:

  • To make sure the condiments surrounding the till are fully stocked, neat and tidy at all times.
  • To ensure that customers are charged correctly for the items on their tray.

Kiosk Section:

  • To maintain strict cleanliness at all times.
  • To serve food products as set out in the food specifications.
  • To serve drinks to the required specification as set out in your barista training.
  • To leave your section clean as set out in the cleaning schedule available on the notice board.

Tables and FOH Section:

  • To clear tables within 3 minutes of vacation.
  • To fully re-set each table cleared ready for the next customer –wiping down with sanitizer spray, putting the chairs back in to place, and removing any debris on the floor around the table.
  • To ensure the condiment / cutlery and water tables are fully stocked before each service and levels maintained throughout.
  • To set the café before each service both inside and out to required standard, ie. chairs in place, tables sanitised and no clutter.
  • To keep the all areas both internal and external clear of litter at all times, and to ensure the outside bins are emptied regularly.
  • To sanitise and wipe dry every tray after every use.
  • To support the counter section by maintain their crockery and stock levels during service.
  • To keep the cakes topped up and presentable during every service.
  • To ensure sandwiches are date rotated and presented neatly in the fridge.
  • To keep the stock levels of sandwiches, drinks and other products are maintained throughout service.
  • To support the Chefs and KP’s in carrying out necessary cleaning duties as set out in the cleaning schedule.

 Kitchen Porter:

  • To ensure that all crockery, pots and pans are cleaned to the required standard.
  • To polish all cutlery after each wash cycle with the assistance of the Tables and FOH section.
  • Ensure the sinks and dish station are left entirely free of debris and washing up after every shift.
  • To support the chefs with the cleaning schedule.
  • To assist the tables / FOH team when required.
  • To assist the chefs when required.
  • To maintain the back of house areas (including outside) are clean and clear of debris at all times.
  • To keep the outside bin area free of all debris and clean at all times.
  • To ensure the hand washing stations are cleaned daily and topped up with hand soap and blue roll at all times.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 

Under the guidance of the Spa Manager and Spa Supervisor, operate as part of the Spa team in delivering exceptional standards of customer service and treatments at all times. You are responsible for ensuring procedures are followed in accordance with Company Policy. Accurate product knowledge is essential to enable you to soft sell to clients.

 

MAIN DUTIES:

 

  • To be fully competent and deliver a wide range of spa beauty and wellbeing treatments.
  • To ensure the Spa and treatment rooms are kept clean, well-stocked, hygienic and meet legal health & safety requirements. Time should be spent at the end of each treatment, preparing for the next one.
  • To ensure all members, spa day guests and hotel residents are greeted on arrival in order to ensure they feel comfortable, relaxed and have all expectations met and where possible exceeded.
  • To be aware of all current promotional offers.
  • To promote and sell the Spa retail products in accordance with targets set by the manager.
  • To assist with social events when required.
  • To ensure that accuracy is taken when dealing with appointment bookings and membership enquiries.
  • To ensure all enquires regarding treatments and memberships are dealt with promptly and accurately.
  • To assist with the running and maintenance of the Spa and its facilities, including customer care and day to day duties.
  • To undertake Spa reception duties when necessary.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required.
  • To work in accordance with company Health & Safety guidelines especially in relation to Hazard and Accident
  • To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant EC directives.
  • To provide a healthy and comfortable working environment, smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel.
  • To undertake any training/coaching required by the Company to enable you to perform your duties effectively.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

 

  • Must be trained to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (including massage). Level 3 or equivalent is preferable.
  • Previous training or experience of working with Espa and Jessica products would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, 12 months minimum, preferred.
  • Must be enthusiastic and a team player.
  • Must be able to work flexibly. For example, work 10 hours one day and 6 another to allow the Business to maximise profit at peak times. The ability to work evenings and weekends is essential.
  • Must be of smart appearance and have high standards of personal hygiene at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential. Both face to face and over the telephone.
  • Must be customer service focused at all times.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To assist the senior chefs in the daily preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times, and to ensure that your designated section, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Restaurant.

  • To ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards as required by the Restaurant.
  • To produce food as requested by the senior chefs and to present it at the times as required.
