PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To assist were necessary, within the business. To provide the highest standards of food and beverage service to guests at all times.
MAIN DUTIES:
• To develop a good understanding and knowledge of menu items, wine and drinks
• To provide excellent service in the provision of food and drinks
• To ensure the working area is maintained to the highest standard as set by the hotel
• To provide the highest standard of hospitality and service to all our customers
• To assist all members of the team as required
• To assist in all aspects of bar work
• To check and maintain all stock
• To ensure accuracy when cash handling

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required.
• To work in accordance with company Health & Safety guidelines especially in relation to Hazard and Accident
• To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant EC directives.
• To provide a healthy and comfortable working environment, smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel.
PERSON SPECIFICATION AND ABILITIES
1. Previous experience in a customer service role is essential
2. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
3. Hospitable, customer orientated, open, willing to learn and the ability to work on own initiative.
4. Ability to speak, read and communicate in English
5. Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards.
6. Previous knowledge and experience of bar work desirable.
