As a room attendant you have a huge impact on the quality of a guests’ experience. The presentation and standards of cleanliness in a guests’ bedroom and bathroom are central to their enjoyment. To be successful in this department, you must have a very good eye for detail as the smallest things often make the biggest difference.

Duties not only include cleaning, but also calculating your daily linen usage, reporting any maintenance problems, handling lost property, ironing for guests, ensuring trolleys are stocked at the end of day and most importantly that rooms are ready for guests arrival. You will work a variety of shifts and as the hotels offers a “turn down” service some of the team can work for a couple of hours in the evenings checking rooms, stocking tea and coffee trays, replenishing amenities and turning down beds.

As the Manager of our Devonshire Health Spa, you will deliver effective management of the spa, achieving product and service delivery standards, a high degree of client care, budget/financial targets and key performance indicators. You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in quality operations, preferably in a Spa holding similar accolades and have a progressive track record in supervisory and managerial positions.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Under the guidance of the Head therapist, operate as part of the Health Spa team in delivering high standards of customer service and cleanliness to meet and wherever possible exceed customer expectations. The role holds responsibility for ensuring procedures are followed in accordance with our normal operating procedure and emergency action plan, cash handling, therapist and reception duties.

MAIN DUTIES:

• To provide a wide range of beauty treatments to a high standard including facial treatments, waxing, pedicures, manicures and wraps.
• To ensure the Spa and treatment rooms are kept clean and hygienic and meet legal requirements
• To ensure that all members, spa day guests and hotel residents are greeted on arrival in order to ensure they feel comfortable, relaxed and have all expectations met and where possible exceeded.
• To ensure that accuracy is taken when dealing with appointment bookings and membership enquiries
• To ensure all enquires regarding treatments and membership are dealt with promptly and accurately
• To assist with the running and maintenance of the Spa and its facilities, including customer care and day to day duties.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required.
• To work in accordance with company Health & Safety guidelines especially in relation to Hazard and Accident
• To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant EC directives.
• To provide a healthy and comfortable working environment, smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel.

PERSON SPECIFICATION AND ABILITIES

1. Trained to NVQ L2 essential
2. Trained to L3 is preferred together with Elemis and Jessica training.
3. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, 12 months preferred.
4. Must be enthusiastic and a team player.
5. Must be of smart appearance and have high standards of personal hygiene at all time.
6. Excellent verbal and listening skills are essential.
7. Must be approachable and customer service oriented.

This is a wide ranging role working 40 hours per week, where you must continually strive to build an excellent rapport with clients. To be a resilient member of this team you must be prepared to work as part of a team but also willing to use your own initiative. Duties will range from meeting and greeting clients, taking bookings, stock control and laundry duties. As with many roles you must be extremely customer focused and have excellent communication skills.
